Richard Damico - Owner

Richard Damico is the owner and head trainer for Sin City K-9, with 15 years of dog training experience.  One of the reasons for Richard's great success in dog training is his love for dogs, and his knowledge that a well trained dog is much happier than one always in the "dog house."  Richard was introduced to the sport world of dogs in his early 20's, and became very involved in a dog sport called Schutzhund.  Richard began his professional career in dog training with a large dog training company as head trainer and vice president.  During this period of his career, he was exposed to training other people in how to become dog trainers, as well as conducting seminars and workshops for beginners (pet owners) to advanced (dog owners interested in competing in competition).

Four years later Richard started his own business creating his own unique training system for dogs and owners using all the techniques he had learned over the years as well as new ones he implemented from his vast experiences.  Over the past five years, Richard has trained with many of
the top trainers in the country, including, but not limited to, Protection Sport Association, an Advanced Detection Seminar at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, a six-week course at Tarheel Canine in North Carolina.

Richard has received various awards from the dog sports shows that he has competed in, most recently taking second place in PSA Nationals Level 3 2006.
